Peer Review Process
The Nutriasik: Jurnal Terapan Gizi dan Pangan Fungsional Kesehatan Journal applies a peer review system as a method to assess the quality of manuscripts before publication.

1. Author Submit Article:
The author submits a manuscript or scientific article for consideration by the journal (must comply with the template and Author Guidelines).
2. Assessed by Editor:
The editor will first assess whether the article meets the journal's basic standards for novelty, relevance, writing quality, and adherence to journal guidelines. The editor will also ensure it meets the scope and will screen it using anti-plagiarism programs such as Turnitin and iThenticate. This is done to ensure that no plagiarism exceeds 25%. At this stage, there are two possible outcomes: Rejected: If the article is deemed inappropriate or has significant flaws, the editor can immediately reject the article without further submission. Second, Sent to Reviewers: If the editor deems the article worthy of further review, the manuscript will be sent to expert reviewers for evaluation.
3. Sent to Reviewers:
The article is forwarded to several reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. They will assess the scientific quality, data accuracy, and contribution of the article to science. The NUTRIASIK Journal uses a double-blind peer review system, where the identities of the authors and reviewers are kept confidential. The peer review process consists of two expert reviewers who are experts in their fields and relevant to the article being reviewed. Expert reviewers are given 4-6 weeks to review a manuscript; if they exceed this time, the editor will send a notification.
4. Reviews Assessed by Editor:
After the reviewers have submitted their reviews and recommendations, the editor will review the reviewers' evaluations. There are several possible outcomes at this stage:
Rejected: If the reviewers' reviews are very negative and suggest the article is unsuitable for publication, the editor may decide to reject the article.
Further Review Needed: If the reviewers' reviews indicate that the article has potential but requires revision, the author will be asked to revise their manuscript and resubmit it.
5. Author Submit Revision:
If the editor requests a revision, the author must revise the manuscript based on the reviewers' suggestions and criticisms, then submit the revised version to the editor.
6. Revision Required:
If, after reviewing the proposed revisions, the editor feels that the manuscript still requires further changes, the author may be asked to make additional revisions. This process may be repeated until the article is deemed good enough for acceptance.
7. Accepted:
After all reviews have been considered and the editor is satisfied with the revised manuscript, the article will be accepted for publication.
8. Production:
After acceptance, the manuscript will go through the production stage, where the article is formatted in the appropriate journal format and prepared for publication. In this case, the Editor will assign the CopyEditing and Layout Teams to carry out the manuscript production process up to the proofreading stage.
9. Publication:
Articles that have completed all these stages will finally be published electronically in the journal according to the scheduled edition.
This process ensures that articles published in the NUTRIASIK: Jurnal Terapan Gizi dan Pangan Fungsional Kesehatan Journal are of high scientific quality and have been rigorously reviewed by experts in the field.
