Publication Ethics

Nutriasik: Jurnal Terapan Gizi dan Pangan Fungsional Kesehatan Journal is a peer-reviewed journal, adhering to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines for all aspects of publication ethics, particularly in handling cases of research and publication misconduct. This statement clarifies the ethical behavior that should be followed by all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in this journal, including the author, the editor-in-chief, the editorial board, peer reviewers, and the publisher. NUTRIASIK Journal is committed to following best practices in publication ethics, proofreading, and retraction. Preventing publication malpractice is an essential responsibility of the editorial board. This journal does not condone any form of unethical behavior and does not tolerate plagiarism in any form.

For the Editor
Based on the review report from the editorial board, the editor has the right to accept, reject, or request modifications to the manuscript. The editor is responsible for every article published in NUTRIASIK Journal. Editors must evaluate manuscripts objectively without regard to nationality, ethnicity, political beliefs, race, religion, gender, seniority, or institutional affiliation of the authors. Editors must decline assignments if there is a potential conflict of interest. The editor's decision must be accompanied by reviewer comments, unless there are inappropriate or defamatory statements. The editor and all staff must ensure the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.

For Reviewers
Reviewers must provide comments on ethical issues and potential research and publication misconduct. They are also responsible for completing their work in a timely manner and maintaining the confidentiality of the manuscript. Reviewers should not accept reviews if there is a potential conflict of interest between them and the authors.

For Authors
Authors must ensure that the submitted material has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal. Authors must guarantee the originality of the work and must not engage in plagiarism or self-plagiarism. All authors listed must have made a significant contribution to the research and agree with the final version of the submitted manuscript. If significant errors are discovered in the manuscript, the authors must immediately report this to the editor. Conflicts of interest, whether related to funding, consultancies, or intellectual property rights, must be disclosed in the manuscript.

Plagiarism Policy
NUTRIASIK Journal does not tolerate plagiarism in any form. Every submitted manuscript will undergo a plagiarism check before entering the peer review stage. The standard similarity threshold has been set based on indexing engines, namely Turnitin or iThenticate, at <25%.

Ethical Approval Policy
All research involving humans or animals must obtain approval from the relevant research ethics committee before data collection begins. Authors must include proof of ethics approval in the submitted manuscript.
