Abstract

Latar belakang: Jeruk nipis secara ilmiah dikenal sebagai Citrus aurantifolia, telah diakui sebagai salah satu bahan yang potensial dalam aromaterapi berkat sifat terapeutiknya serta aroma segarnya yang khas. Minyak atsiri jeruk nipis dikenal karena komponen bioaktifnya seperti d-limonene yang memiliki sifat terapeutik dan aroma segar. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan dan mengevaluasi minyak atsiri jeruk nipis sebagai sediaan aromaterapi dengan fokus pada karakteristik organoleptik. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah experiment dengan rancangan penelitian post-test only without control group design. Dua formulasi minyak atsiri 5% dan 10% diuji dan dievaluasi menggunakan uji organoleptik terhadap aroma, warna, bentuk, rasa di kulit, serta pH. Hasil: menunjukkan bahwa formulasi dengan konsentrasi minyak atsiri lebih tinggi memiliki aroma yang lebih kuat dan disukai oleh mayoritas responden. Nilai pH berkisar antara 4 hingga 5, yang berada dalam batas aman untuk sediaan topikal. Sensasi dingin pada kulit disebabkan oleh kandungan menthol dalam setiap formulasi. Kesimpulan: Minyak atsiri jeruk nipis dengan konsentrasi 10% memberikan aroma yang lebih kuat, dengan pH 5 dan banyak disukai responden. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pengembangan produk aromaterapi yang efektif serta aman digunakan pada kulit. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan konsentrasi minyak atsiri jeruk nipis dapat meningkatkan daya tarik sensorik produk aromaterapi.
