Peer Review Process

Submitted manuscripts will be reviewed by the editor. The editor will decide whether the manuscript fits the scope and focus and is suitable for peer review. This initial activity usually takes a week.

Submissions that pass the initial review will be assigned to at least two peer reviewers (double peer review). Based on the peer reviewers' decisions, the editor will make an editorial decision. There are three possible editorial decisions: (1) the manuscript is accepted, (2) modified and resubmitted, or (3) rejected. This activity takes 4-6 weeks.

The time to reach a final decision depends on the number of review rotations, author responses, etc. Typically, the time frame from submission to final decision is 2-4 months on average.

The total turnaround time for publishing a manuscript depends (in addition to the factors mentioned above) on the submission date, the journal's publication schedule, the authors' adherence to publication guidelines, etc. The review and acceptance of manuscripts for publication by Media Informasi is an average of 2-4 months.

It is important for authors to use an active email address and regularly check their Media Informasi account, because they will receive notification via email regarding the progress of their manuscript, and we have a policy to reject manuscripts if there is no response from the author for more than 15 working days.

The speed of decision-making regarding the publication of a manuscript depends on how quickly the reviewers review it and how quickly the author returns the manuscript after revision.
