Abstract

Medical record security is an effort to ensure that files are not lost and their contents or
information are not known by unauthorized persons. The results of the preliminary study
survey were seen from the physical, chemical, biological aspects, damage of medical records
caused by smoking in the room, leaky roof, termites and humidity in the room. The purpose
of this study was to determine the description of the safety of outpatient medical
records. The research was implemented using a qualitative research type with in-depth
interviews supported by observation guidelines, thematic triangulation, with 5 informants as
the subject, the object is the security of medical records in terms of physical, chemical,
biological aspects in the filing. The time of the research was implemented in January - May
2022 at Bhayangkara TK II Sartika Asih Hospital, Bandung.Research Results: Air Conditioner
(AC) is not turned on for 24 hours, the officers bring food and drink and smoke in the filing,
there is no camphor to prevent insects such as termites, cockroaches, and rats, electronic
medical records are not running, and the cause of the problem is lack of maintenance. and
security of access rights.
