Abstract

background; In the health center accreditation standards, the medical record system is one of the main components. A medical record keeping system is very helpful when completing an initial health assessment. Thanks to the storage system, the process of storing medical records can be simplified, the process is easier, and protects medical records from being lost or stolen. Objective: To understand the Ulak Karang Community Health Center Storage System for Medical Record Files Based on Community Health Center Accreditation Standards. Method: This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenon-based approach. Data collection was carried out through direct interviews with one staff member, one health examiner, and one head of the community health center. data analysis using the Colaizzi method. Results: Based on research findings on the implementation of the medical record system, there are several problems such as missing files in the process so that it does not meet standards, as well as a lack of facilities and infrastructure for storing medical records. Conclusion: From the research above, it is clear that missfiles still exist in the medical record file storage system. Apart from that, there has been no destruction because during the puskesmas retention period, medical records from non-hospital health service providers must be kept for a minimum of two years starting from the date the patient last sought treatment, as stated in Minister of Health Regulation Number 269 of 2008 Article 9 Paragraph 1. Apart from that, Officers must also develop retention period policies and conduct training to improve the accuracy of medical record officers.
