Abstract

Health workers in providing services must be in accordance with competence and must comply with Professional Standards, efforts that must be made in carrying out their duties and responsibilities to maintain patient safety and maintain officer accountability, namely by maintaining professional and competency standards, namely by applying credentials because the process of proving Professional recognition is included in the credentialing process. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of credentials to support accreditation in patient medical record services at Bhayangkara Hospital Tk II Sartika Asih Bandung. The research method used is qualitative phenomenology. There were 7 informants, one key informant who was the head of the medical record installation, 6 main informants who were medical record officers, using a purposive sampling technique, collecting data by observation and interviews. The results showed that the implementation of credentials at Sartika Asih Bandung began with submissions along with the requirements, the completeness of the requirements had not been fulfilled because of the six informants one informant did not have a SIK, two informants did not have a training certificate. The medical recorder fills out the clinical authority detail form which is a competency detail, the process of assessing the details of the clinical authority is carried out by the credential team, making a letter of recommendation until the clinical authority is issued. For the results of clinical authority decisions, the six informants obtained results with independent clinical competency results.
