Systematic Literature Review: Optimalisasi Infrastruktur dan Keamanan Jaringan Komputer di Lingkungan Rumah Sakit

Abstract

This study aims to examine the optimization of computer network infrastructure and network security in hospitals using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The review is motivated by the growing reliance of hospitals on computer networks and Hospital Information Systems for managing clinical and administrative data, which simultaneously increases the likelihood of information security incidents. The SLR was conducted on scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025 that discuss network infrastructure and network security in hospital settings, using several online databases and predefined selection criteria, resulting in 10 articles eligible for in-depth analysis. The findings indicate that hospitals commonly implement switched LAN topologies and VLAN segmentation to support the distribution of electronic medical record data and other clinical services, yet challenges related to bandwidth management and wireless network protection are still reported. The reviewed studies also highlight the need for multilayer security mechanisms, including firewalls, encryption, access control, and regular traffic monitoring. These results suggest that infrastructure optimization must be closely aligned with information security policies and human resource capacity building in order to preserve the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of patient data in hospitals.
