Abstract

Background: Gadgets can only be used by those with reliable installation and usage skills. So far, the gadget trend in Indonesia is predicted to still be held by the smartphone segment, even though computers and laptops still have the opportunity to develop, but it feels like they are still behind the development of smartphones. Research Objective: To identify the duration of gadget use among pre-school children aged 5-6 years at Aisiyah VII Kindergarten, Dukuhmaja Village, Luragung District, Kuningan Regency. Identifying the emotional development of pre-school children aged 5-6 years at Aisiyah VII Kindergarten, Perum Griya Indah Hamlet, Dukuhmaja Village, Luragung District, Kuningan Regency in 2023. Analyzing the duration of gadget use on the emotional development of pre-school children aged 5-6 years at Aisiyah VII Kindergarten, Dukuhmaja Village, Luragung District Kuningan Regency in 2023. To find out the influence of gadget use on the development of pre-school children aged 5-6 years at Kindergarten Aisiyah VII Dusun Perum Griya Indah, Dukuhmaja Village, Luragung District, Kuningan Regency in 2023. Research Method: This type of research uses correlation analytical research, where this research aims to reveal the correlation relationship between variables. In this research, a Cross Sectional research design is used, which is a type of research that emphasizes measuring/observing independent and dependent variable data only once at a time. The sampling technique in this research was total sampling. Total sampling is a sampling technique where the number of samples is the same as the population. Research Results: Shows that of the 30 children studied, 15 children (50.0%) were in the gadget use category (High) and 10 (33.3%) children were in the (Medium) category, and 5 children (16.6%) ) with the gadget use category (Low). Based on the Chi-Square test results, it is known that the value of p = 0.00 where p <α 0.05 indicates that there is a long-term relationship between gadget use and the emotional development of pre-school children aged 5-6 years in Kindergarten Aisiyah VII, Dukuhmaja Village, Luragung District in 2023. Conclusion: The duration of gadget use in preschool children aged 5-6 years in Kindergarten Aisiyah VII, Dukuhmaja Village, Luragung District, is mostly in the high category, and the emotional development of pre-school aged children in Kindergarten Aisiyah VII, Dukuhmaja Village, Luragung District, is mostly in the category of possible mental disorders. emotional.
